See what some of our couples say about Wedding Scrolls:

Danielle Miller and Fiancee, 2011

We wanted a favor to be something that had meaning. We felt that many of the "wedding favors" we were looking for would not appeal to every guest and therefore was like throwing away money. After some investigation, we found the Wedding Scrolls. We felt that this would be the best favor we could possibly give because many loved ones near and dear to us have been affected by cancer. We donated to the American Cancer Society and chose the " In memory of" scrolls for close family members including: two grandparents, a step-father, uncle and many more. Everyone told us what a great idea this was and how much it meant. I am so glad that our money went towards what will hopefully soon be a cure!

Thomas and Megan McDargh-Isenberg, July 2010

Wedding ScrollsWe were quickly approaching our wedding date and hadn’t decided what to do in regards to purchasing wedding favors for our families and friends. After careful consideration, we decided that we did not want to give our families and friends the standard, prototypical wine bottle corks or personalized M&M candy bags, so we decided to make a lump sum donation to a charitable cause in lieu of a gift. We wanted to make a donation to an organization that we ourselves and our families felt close to, that made a difference and that helped others who needed it most. We chose the American Cancer Society.

The Wedding Scrolls were the perfect fit for our request and an elegant way of notifying our guests that a donation had been made on behalf of everyone to help the fight against cancer. In addition, the “Wedding Scrolls” are eligible for any employer’s “matching gift program”, so your donations impact can be twice as strong. We couldn’t have been happier with our purchase.

Anyone who is considering a socially responsible way of saying “thank you” to the people you care about most should seriously consider the “Wedding Scroll” product by the American Cancer Society for their wedding. Especially for an occasion, like a wedding, where people are gathered together to celebrate life, there is no greater feeling than knowing you have collectively helped a cause that will make someone else’s better.

Cintia and Bernard Alvarez, July 2009

Cintia and BernardPure happiness.  That is how Cintia and Bernard Alvarez describe their July 2009 wedding. “Our families are close. It was great to see their smiles and to be able to celebrate together.”

During a romantic birthday surprise in January 2008, Bernard, a cancer survivor, proposed – and Cintia accepted. As they began planning their special day, they looked for an opportunity to recognize the strength that Bernard's cancer battle brought to their relationship, and to share their love and gratefulness for his life. They turned to the American Cancer Society’s Wedding Scrolls program.

On July 26, Bernard and Cintia became husband and wife at St. Genevieve’s Church in Elizabeth, NJ and celebrated with family, friends at The Atrium Country Club in West Orange. “At our wedding, we were able to thank everyone, including Bernard's doctors, and we felt the Wedding Scrolls fit us perfectly. Our guests loved them – it was thoughtful and meaningful.  We would not have changed a thing on our wedding day.”
